A beautifully modern and minimalist authentic vintage Moroccan shag rug. Made by the Beni Ourain tribe in the central middle Atlas mountains, this rug was not made for the market or commercial use. Charming in that the design appears to have had a false start in the design- perhaps it was intentional. Leaves you intrigued and wanting to know the story behind the rug. Beautiful natural creamy white wool with natural brown details forming a traditional diamond, crosshatch design. The asymmetry and irregularity of the pattern make this such a delightful and unique piece. It was an authentic Berber piece with fringe on one end. Handmade in the late 20th century.
