This rare authentic antique Moroccan rug came from the Beni Mguild tribe from the central middle Atlas mountains from the region of the Guigou valley. This rug features beautiful hues of aubergine background with great exasmple of a chevron-like pattern with details in pink, blue and white. This rug has a thick shag of lustrous soft wool with dense pile and solid structure. The glossy wool and saturated colors give this rug a captivating effect. In excellent condition for its age. A one of a kind, unique handmade carpet. It was an authentic Berber piece, originally commissioned in the mid 20th century, likley around the 1930-1940s. It is a very special piece, not made for commercial production.
