Vintage Moroccan Rug - Sabina
IN STOCK, AVAILABLE NOW
This Moroccan rug is an example of a rare collectible white Beni Mguild rug from the 1940s-1960s. This is a sleeping rug woven in lustrous white and brown wool. Made by the Beni Mguild tribe in the central middle Atlas mountains, this rug was not made for the market or commercial use. Beautiful natural creamy white wool with natural brown details forming a comlpex linear diamond, crosshatch design with stars and other tribal motifs. The symmetry and irregularity of the pattern make this a charming and unique piece. It was an authentic Berber piece with fringe on one end.
